As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Minimizing the impact of learning disabilities by delivering exceptional care that promotes recovery and well-being.
  • Meeting the needs of patients and their carers with empathy and understanding.
  • Supporting the delivery of patient care under the direction of the nurse in charge, performing duties with limited or indirect supervision.
  • Taking and recording patients’ vital signs, such as temperature and blood pressure, and reporting any changes to supervisors.
  • Assisting patients with basic tasks, including eating, dressing, and toileting, as needed.
  • Working closely with district nurses to provide seamless support to service users.
  • Taking blood samples and preparing them for testing.
